Golden Fish Interiors is a full-service interior design firm based in Pittsburgh. Founded by Pittsburgh native and New York designer Sara Coax, the firm specializes in client-centered service and works on a wide variety of residential projects, from refreshing the décor of a single room to transforming the interior of an entire home.
Sara is devoted to making the design process an enjoyable, uplifting experience. An expert guide and collaborator, she works with architects and builders to keep projects on track, with vendors and suppliers to find remarkable furnishings, and most importantly, with her clients, translating their vision of home into rooms that are fashionable, functional, and a joy to inhabit.
Golden Fish Interiors is the culmination of Sara’s lifelong passion for interior design, which was sparked by summer art classes she attended at the Carnegie Museum while growing up in Pittsburgh. A graduate of Union College and the New England School of Art& Design, Sara learned the design trade in New York City, working with Jeffrey Bilhuber, a celebrated AD100 designer; with John Willey Design; and most recently, with Liliane Hart Interiors, where she was a senior designer and project coordinator.
